Elizabeth HUFFORD of Carroll Co., IN,
was born into a Brethren family. She was the daughter of
Andrew HUFFORD and Sarah Catherine CRIPE. Elizabeth
married Civil War veteran George HOOKER and mothered nine
children to adulthood.
In 1899, she and her husband moved with
their sons to St. John or Minot, North Dakota. By 1910,
she and her husband had returned to Carroll Co., Indiana,
but their sons remained in North Dakota.

Her obituary appeared
in THE GOSPEL MESSENGER of June 8, 1929:
"Her body was laid beside that of her husband in the
Pyrmont cemetery."
