This is Miles Beard's Grandma Beard,
Mrs. Jesse Beard, sometime in the 1940s, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
She was born Sarah Catherine Hooker, in 1871.
In 1891, she married Jesse Beard, in Carroll Co., Indiana.
They had four children: John, Marvin, George Irvin, and Edith Beard.
Their grandchildren were
Russell, Glen, Bob, and Roberta Beard;
Miles, Max, and Bruce Beard;
and John Griffith.
About her, Miles said, "They don't make grandmas like that any more!"
